MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

The Inaugural Cruisin' 53 has come and gone and we were absolutely thrilled! 145 incredible cars and car owners competed in the car show and made for a pretty sight cruising down Van Dyke while hundreds of community members from Warren and Center Line came together to share a sunny day.

And we weren't the only ones enjoying the party! All along the cruise route classic cars were parked, grills were hot, and people were gathered, proving that Cruisin' 53 will only continue to grow.

It takes a village to put together an event this big and we want to extend our sincerest thanks to the following, who this would not have been possible without:

WE'RE GETTING PRESS

By Norb Franz,  Apr 16, 2019

Car buffs, cruisers and gearheads will have a new location this June to gather and show their admiration for automobiles.

The first Center Line-Warren Car Cruise will be held June 8 on Van Dyke Avenue – the first official event of its kind on that road -- through the heart of both cities. Appropriately dubbed “Cruisin’ 53” to reflect the state highway number, the cruise route will stretch from Eight Mile Road to 14 Mile Road, with three official gathering points in between.

“People have said to me, ‘This is well overdue, we’re so excited, we can’t want to see a cruise on Van Dyke,’” said Donna Weatherby, spokeswoman for the cruise’s organizing committee that started in January to plan the event.

2020 DETAILS COMING SOON!

After the success of our inaugural year, we are thrilled to spice it up even more in our second year! New offerings are in the works and we need a little more time before we share our plans with you all.

Rest assured, there will be plenty of fun for everyone in the family. At Cruisin' 53 2020 you can expect:

MORE CARS!

We will expand not just the number of participants in the car parade and car show, but create specialized opportunities to showcase different makes, models and car cultures.

MORE FOOD!

You can count on additional vendors which means the hardest choice you'll have all day is deciding what to eat!

MORE LOCATIONS!

City Center Plaza will still serve as Cruise Headquarters, but we'll be expanding even further along Van Dyke and with some possible action on the side streets.

RUN WARREN 5K!

And in some exciting news, the Warren Community Foundation (who serves as principal organizer of Cruisin' 53) will be combining the day with another of our popular events, the Run Warren 5K! With an accredited course from the United States Track and Field Association, this run is professionally monitored by Eastside Racing Company and has raised thousands of dollars for the community since it's inception. Learn more about last year's run here.

WAIT...I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS!
