PROUDLY PRESENTED BY:

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

The Inaugural Cruisin' 53 has come and gone and we were absolutely thrilled! 145 incredible cars and car owners competed in the car show and made for a pretty sight cruising down Van Dyke while hundreds of community members from Warren and Center Line came together to share a sunny day.

And we weren't the only ones enjoying the party! All along the cruise route classic cars were parked, grills were hot, and people were gathered, proving that Cruisin' 53 will only continue to grow.

It takes a village to put together an event this big and we want to extend our sincerest thanks to the following, who this would not have been possible without:

OFFICIAL CRUISE ROUTE

On behalf of the Warren Community Foundation and the communities of Warren and Center Line, we cordially invite you to the inaugural Cruisin' 53 car cruise! Our founders have years of experience organizing cruises throughout Southeast Michigan and are thrilled to bring this exciting event to the community. With multitudes of beautiful and unique cars lining Van Dyke/M-53, great food and drink, rockin' live music and more planned, we expect Cruisin' 53 to become a beloved annual party.

The purpose of the cruise in addition to quality of life for the residents of Warren and Center Line is to raise revenue for local community investment in the two communities. This is a joint effort between the City of Center Line and the City of Warren with the proceeds of the event being distributed equally through the Warren Community Foundation and the Center Line Festival Foundation.

The day is packed with fun activities! Van Dyke will be alive, from Cruise Headquarters at City Center Plaza (formerly known as Essco Square) to our hotspots at Warren City Hall and Maybelle Burnett Library, with food trucks, games, family fun, music, and the main attraction, the car show and parade featuring sleek, historic and customized cars of all shapes and sizes! Concurrently, the Center Line Independence Festival will be in full swing! Awards for the car show will be presented at 4:00pm and the cruisers are encouraged to hang into the night, though make sure to stop by the festival for fireworks at dusk!

WE'RE GETTING PRESS

READ ABOUT US IN

By Norb Franz,  Apr 16, 2019

Car buffs, cruisers and gearheads will have a new location this June to gather and show their admiration for automobiles.

The first Center Line-Warren Car Cruise will be held June 8 on Van Dyke Avenue – the first official event of its kind on that road -- through the heart of both cities. Appropriately dubbed “Cruisin’ 53” to reflect the state highway number, the cruise route will stretch from Eight Mile Road to 14 Mile Road, with three official gathering points in between.

“People have said to me, ‘This is well overdue, we’re so excited, we can’t want to see a cruise on Van Dyke,’” said Donna Weatherby, spokeswoman for the cruise’s organizing committee that started in January to plan the event.

THANK YOU TO OUR
